The getting ready. The walk there. The first moment, when you’re both deciding whether to hug. Then the pause after “so, what do you do?”
Most of that isn’t about either of you. It’s a conversation with no shape, so somebody has to carry it, and usually it’s whoever feels the pause most.
In a HeartSpace, nobody carries it. The host shapes it.
An AI host opens the game, explains it in a sentence or two, and says whose turn it is. It keeps the time, so nobody has to find a way to wrap up. It moves you on, and it closes the game when it’s over.
You don’t have to think of questions, fill a silence or find the exit line. You just take your turn.
You’re not being asked to impress anyone. You’re asked to talk about something you love, or make a wish out loud, while someone listens. That’s a much smaller thing, and it’s where people relax.
And it happens wherever you’re most at ease: your sofa, your kitchen, your slippers.
If you go on to meet, you walk in having already laughed together. The first moment is done.
The hardest part is asking. Here are the words: send them with your code.
“Fancy a HeartSpace before we meet? It’s a little game on video, and an AI host runs it, so neither of us has to think of questions. I’ll send you a code.”
