Nothing’s wrong. That’s almost the problem.
You catch up on work, on weather, on whose birthday it was. You say “we should do this properly sometime.” Then you hang up with the odd feeling that you slightly missed each other.
The distance isn’t the issue. The call just has no shape.
HeartSpace is a game you play over video, with one other person. A warm voice hosts it — it sets the frame, says whose turn it is, and gets out of the way. You don’t plan anything, you don’t steer anything, and neither of you has to be the one who makes it meaningful.
Ten minutes. Then you’re two people who actually talked.
You’re not asking for a deep conversation. You’re asking someone to play a game. The game handles the rest — turns, timing, when it ends. That’s a much smaller thing to say yes to, which is exactly the point.
The hardest part is asking. Here are the words — send them as they are.
“Found this thing — it’s a little game you play over video, takes about ten minutes. Play it with me this week?”
